This documentation assumes a technical sales audience interested in:
If you have an IR829 already you will be able to get all the parts required in about a week. It will likely take 1-2 days to complete the build and configuration if it is all you are working on.
Download the parts list from here. All of the non-Cisco parts shouldn’t take more than a week to arrive. The lead-time for the IR829 and accessories will vary, but usually is not more than a few weeks. If you are ordering a new IR829, get the dual-LTE model (IR829-2LTE-EA-BK9). Otherwise, any IR829 you may have access to will suffice.
This documentation uses the following conventions:
efm-region2.iotvehicle.net
you should substitute the FQDN or IP address of your EFM regional broker
Make sure you follow the configuration steps in the order they are written and not skip around. There is some troubleshooting information included so you can help yourself, and to help you learn more about EFM and the demo environment. That said, don’t be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. You can email the author here or reach out to matgibbs@cisco.com
on Cisco Spark or Jabber IM.
Good luck!
